Throwback Thursday: My Prom

Prom. It's the event where almost every teen girl looks forward to. It's like one step closer to our princess fantasy, where we have our own prince charming, we get to wear a pretty dress, we get to look good, and we get to dance the night away. Prom experiences are different from person to person. Some may have made good memories on that night and some may wish prom never happened. Whether you have a date or not, it shouldn't stop you from making one of the best memory of your life. This is the very first night and only night in high school wherein you get to be someone that isn't your usual self. This is the time where a lot of transformations happen. The nerdy girl could become prom queen, the chubby girl could become prom queen, the acne-filled girl could become prom queen and you know what? possibilities are endless. So, to those people who are wanting to give themselves a new title or just recreate yourself in the eyes of the people, this is your chance.

For me, personally prom was a good experience. Not the best but it was good. I had a date for prom but honestly, that night, I realized that prom isn't just all about having a "prince-charming" or "arm-candy" with you. It's about making memories with your friends/bestfriends because well, your "prince-charming" may not last for a long time but, friends stay. Well, REAL friends do. And one day, you will all look back to this memory and maybe cry or laugh your heads off. That's why it's good to get to bond with them on that night. I'm not saying leave your date for your friends, all I'm saying is that make time for your friends.

Of course, get involved during prom! Join the decorations-committee, sign up for prom queen or other contest, if you have a band, go perform! Just simply, go there and shine. Remember, it is your night.

During prom, I got involved with a lot of things namely:

1.) I emcee-d.

2.) I participated in the cotillion.

3.) I joined the Ms. Junior competition.

Dress by: Mr. Erwin Lee Tan

I had a good time during my prom. You should also have a good time during yours, if you haven't had it yet. Well, don't just go for a good time. You should aim for an amazing one.

Makeup by: Ms. Melody Tinoy(McMahon)

Hope you guys liked this post. I'd love to hear about your prom experiences.

Top things I can't leave without: What's in my bag?

Hey guys!

So, don't you just have those times wherein you're in a hurry and don't have much time to think about what you're gonna be bringing? Well, I have that like almost everyday. Not because I'm always in a hurry but because I don't like spending too much time on thinking of what girly things to bring. Before, I seriously didn't care about these stuff. Like I could just leave the house with my phone in hand and my mother (she has the $$). But, growing up, I started to compare myself to other girls. They are always carrying a bag around and having girly stuff in it. I got jealous. Not because of the things they had but because well, they had the feel of maturity to them.

I've always been a "one of the guys" kind of girl. I've been labeled tomboyish more than once my whole life. Let's say I was labeled that almost my whole childhood and now just by the people who really know me. That was one of the reasons why I didn't act like most of the girls my age. Most of them just couldn't wait to grow up. They seemed more tame and more lady-like. So, I decided to train myself as someone "lady-like" as well. I decided to bring my own essentials in a bag and I don't know. It just gave me a more womanly and mature feel. Like this is it. I'm really a grown up. (lol I'm not)

But yeah, here are the things that I can't leave the house without:

1. Of course, a bag to carry my things.
Choice of the day: Polo Jean bag by Ralph Lauren

 2. Perfume. It's a must for a girl to have it. Smelling good is a girl's pride.
This is my favorite: Play by Givenchy

 3. I personally think, something to give color to your lips is a must. It's like the holy grail of make-up.
My choice: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in  045 Romantic/Romantique.

 4. When you're in high school, that's when you learn the importance of money. That's why I always have a wallet around.
This was given to me by my dad.

 5. This is certainly something I never ever leave the house without. Whether I change bags everyday ( Which I don't. (normally). I always have this rosary with me. It keeps me guided and strong.

6. Of course, something a girl neither a boy can keep his hands off. A phone. In this fast moving world. This is a major essential. It's the easiest way to communicate!

7. Since I don't exactly have the perfect eyesight, I have eyeglasses which I bring everyday. I don't wear contacts because well, I have no idea. Probably because my mom wont allow it.

To summarize the things I can't leave without.

Hope you guys liked this :)

Movie Monday: Top 7 must watch teen movies

Hey guys!
I decided to be more devoted to my blog and share more about what's happening in my life. The stuff I'm currently into, the things I'm obsessing with and etc etc. I haven't been a very good blogger, that I know. But, I've been getting good responses these past few days. People have been encouraging me to keep writing and a lot of different bloggers have inspired me. Sometimes I end up questioning myself why I even made a blog and feel helpless when I feel like no one is listening to me. But then, I never made the blog just so I'd get noticed but I made one because I love writing and I love sharing my life to people. Not in a bragging kind of way but because I want to inspire people. Just like how I've been inspired by different influential people.

So, to start of my "be-a-better-blogger" life, I'm gonna share my top 7 favorite teen movies that I've been obsessing over. And yes yes, I'm putting emphasis on the teen. Mainly because well, I'm a teen and I know how it feels like to search the internet skin and bones just to find a good movie to watch. I know the feeling of one of those days where you just want to sit around and waste your time watching a movie, get emotional and cry over a chick-flick, feel hyped up over some action or just simply fantasize about the hot guys in the movie (lol super guilty on this one).

I've watched too much movies in a span of a month since, well, I find it easier to work out when I'm distracted, so I usually watch a movie while working out. Before I blabber more. Here's my top 7 favorites:

7.) 16 wishes

Now I know Disney may not be everyone's cup of tea. But, I think this movie is a good movie to watch especially for those teens who can't wait to grow up. It makes you appreciate the perks of being young.

6.) John Tucker Must Die

Okay, Ladies, you can't deny that at some point in your life you've day-dreamed about a bad boy falling head over heels for you. This movie is a must watch especially if you're still having those bad boy falls for good girl fantasies.

5.)  So Undercover

From the girl who was known to be a "role-model" for children when she played Hannah Montana and is now known as the girl, whom parents, wouldn't want their child watching or even acknowledging. Let's talk about when she was in between, this movie is really good when you just want to pump up your adrenaline on just day dreaming about being a normal girl and imagine you're some spy.

4.) Mean Girls

This one is just a classic. Enough said. No matter where you go, you'd always find someone who can't stop quoting Mean Girls.

3.) Interview with the Vampire

Fine, this movie is pretty old. But, I swear it's worth it. Not only does it have a good story line but, who the hell doesn't want to see Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in one movie? Okay, I think i got you guys clicking that link when I said Tom And Brad ;)

2.) LOL

Yes, another Miley movie, I know. But this movie, I thought it wasn't gonna be a good one when I first heard of it. But, I still decided to give it a shot. I don't regret it. Because this is one of the best movies I've seen so far. It really tells a story of what teenagers go through. It shows reality. Not just glitz and glamour. And a big plus, the lead guy role is a model. *cough* Douglas Booth *cough* He's hot.

1.) Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

From start until the end, this movie got my attention like never before. Seriously, a good movie. I can't put it to words. But, if you're a fan of the book, you'd like this one. Though, I'm not sure if it followed the book word for word, since I honestly haven't read it yet *embarrassed*. I just went straight for the movie. And it's a big go go! Awesome movie.

So that's my top 7 movie list as of this month. Hope you guys check them out and tell me what you think.

Would love to hear from you :)

Review: Revlon Super lustrous lipstick Pearl 657 Fuchsia Fusion

During Christmas last year, my mom bought me a set of Maybelline lipstick. Which is amazing. That much I can say. But, aside from Maybelline, she also bought me one from Revlon. This one lipstick, in my opinion, stood out the most. Simply because the color is seriously attractive. Well, that's if you're into dark and vibrant colors which I'm into. I'm usually the type of girl that loves red lipstick but trying this product of Revlon in the color fuchsia pink made me rethink if red is still my favorite.

Here you can see just by looking at the lipstick, it has a very attractive color and is well pigmented.
It is also very satisfying because it lasts for long hours.

Here's how it looks when worn:
It's a very good make-up essential because of how attractive the color is. It just instantly brings more life to how you look. If you're like busy and in a hurry, it's very good for a to-go thing as well. You don't need to use heavy makeup and spend like an hour fixing your look. Just put on the lipstick and I think that would give enough statement to your look.

Here's my all in all look for the day. No heavy foundation, no concealers or bronzer etc. Just eye liner, mascara and this gorgeous lipstick.

If you've tried this product, please feel free to share your thoughts on it with me.

Kitty in the park

So, I went out for a shooting months ago for a music video. This was one of my looks for the second day of shooting. Honestly, the whole kitty thing has no relation to the music video we were making. The music video was more about how girls of this generation are so obsessed with looking perfect and that she should just enjoy and have confidence in being herself, rather than trying so hard to be someone she isn't just so she could fit in what society or the media called "pretty". Yeah, like I said the kitty headband has no relation to the topic what-so-ever. Or maybe it does? it could be like a symbolism that says being different aint so bad. And there's nothing wrong with standing out rather than being just another face in a crown. But anyway, I wore it because there's this really cute park-ish/playground-ish area in the place we were shooting at. The place looked fun and playful and that's how I came up with this outfit. It's just fun and playful. A mixture of different things. I love experimenting and I think that's quite obvious.

Okay okay maybe you're wondering why I would put in a kitty head band and a bow-tie together. Well, like I said, I love mixing new things and I guess for me, it just adds more edge to the look? yup, let's say that. And well, I added the bow-tie simply because I didn't want to make the neck area look too simple.

Just to give more color to the look than it already has, I didn't want to put much focus on my face since I wanted people to notice what I am wearing more. I don't know if that makes sense but, yeah it does to me lol. So, I just put on tiny mascara and paired it up with a red lip stain from Revlon.

I love horror

I personally love the color black. It's my favorite color, hands down. Don't ask why because I'm not exactly sure why. It just captures my personality, I guess and it makes me feel the most confident. Well, setting aside that it is a known fact that black surely does make a person look thinner. Though, that differs from person to person, but so far it does. I just love how it's so mysterious and asdfghjk I'm not even gonna try to express my love for that color anymore. No words can express it.

Aside from the color black, I also love the color red. Especially red lipstick. So black clothes + red lipstick = major go go fashion for me.

Let's just say I have this dream of looking like a vampire ;)
